Mahaakshay Chakraborty is all set to be seen in an out-and-out romantic flick ISHQEDARRIYAAN. However, the way love has been depicted in ISHQEDARRIYAAN is pretty different from what we witness in today's scenario. ISHQEDARRIYAAN highlights what is true love.

Says Mahaakshay, “ISHQEDARRIYAAN is a complete romantic film. The love aspect is always there in every film because the greatest commonality in the world is love but the specialty of ISHQEDARRIYAAN is its simplicity. We all are part of modern generation where we can proclaim love through emoticas but what is true love? True love is always unsaid. It's always not telling the person but showing it how much you love. That's why I love ISHQEDARRIYAAN's script and I signed the film.”

Mahaakshay too believes in this kind of love. And since he has faced rejection in love, he quite relates with the film.

“I definitely believe in that kind of love otherwise I wouldn't have done the film. I have been in the place where I have been rejected by girls who I had crushes on or I have been in the place where I like the girl and she chose someone else so I know how it feels. I have been in those situations where in I wanted the other person to love me the way I wanted to love them but they chose someone else. For me to feel that rejection was very connecting when I was doing ISHQEDARRIYAAN,” he gets candid.

But ask Mahaakshay if he ever used his background (being Mithun Chakraborty's son) to woo a girl and he says, “When it comes to the impression part (no offence to anybody out there) my father Mithun's name will definitely give a curiosity to the opposite sex but what happens in the end love does not count on that. When you genuinely love a person, you don't care how he looks, what is his/her background, what he/she does, you just love him/her. Such love is very rare.”

He adds, “I already have my father's name. Being Mithun Chakraborty's son already gives me an introduction. I can any day go to a girl and say that I am Mahaakshay, son of Mithun. But that itself gives me false power which is not mine. I have not earned anything for myself. That would be abusive use of power which I have never done. I have never used it for wrong deeds because I don't believe in that.”

But didn't he cash in on Mithun's name to establish his career in Bollywood? “Being his son is already an identity. Today I go to any party people know who I am I don't have to remind them and that is curse as well advantage. It's an advantage because people come to me, be sweet to me. But it's a curse when the expectations come in, there are comparisons, responsibility is there. It's part and parcel of life. My father was always a silent guardian. He has more than 30 years of experience; he was always there for me but never interfered in my work. He believed that you need to fight your own battles and you need to grind but he never used his position. He is my Godfather and has taught me dos and donts of the industry. But he never held me back,” Mahaakshay clears.
Also starring Evelyn Sharma, ISHQEDARRIYAAN is all set to hit the screens on May 15, 2015
