So we attended an event yesterday - that of Ranveer Singh unveiling the poster of BAJIRAO MASTANI. As expected, we were made to wait for around one and a half hours in spite of the event being held in Film city (where the actor was probably shooting for his movie).
After the long wait (facing the scorching heat and surrounded by high-volume loud speakers), Ranveer Singh makes an entry in his black limo and as he enters, the actor is mobbed by photographers who were waiting to capture him any and every moment. Two minutes after the incident, Ranveer Singh gets called on the stage by his anchor friend, so Ranveer gets on stage and the energy gradually picks up as the man gets into his standard “Namashkar” style. Ranveer, as expected, also spoke about his upcoming film BAJIRAO MASTANI, and then came the moment when the curtains were raised and we could see a 60 ft. Ranveer Singh's BAJIRAO MASTANI poster.
In five minutes, the media's Q&A round started and it so happened that the media could ask only 5-8 questions (the answers to which were not exactly satisfying) and were interrupted even when we had more to ask (again, as expected). Just then, Ranveer left the stage and did not come back for around 2-5 minutes. During that time, the audiences were entertained with the typical Maharashtrian style of music.

As Ranveer Singh comes back, he climbed onto a podium-like stand for the photographers, and right after that, there was a sight that wrapped up the whole event. Ranveer was seen greeting his fans like every fan wants to be treated.
He was asked to take a selfie with them and the actor calmly not only did that, but also made his fans feel extremely special! He interacted with them, thanked them for their support and even had fun with them. I remember two incidents – one was where a girl fan went running into his arms, and not only did Ranveer hug her, he even kissed the fan on her forehead and the other was when another girl broke down, started crying and he convinced her, gave her a hug, thanked her, kissed her forehead and even took a selfie with her eventually.
We somehow think that, Ranveer Singh dedicated a lot of time to his fans and chose them over media. So maybe we can safely say that the event was dedicated more to the fans than the media…
