Blame it on the rain (read rush) to catch the weekend fastest crore train, Bollywood feel good rom com makers are cashing on revealing (a hint to be precise) the climax/ending of their highly anticipated potential blockbusters.
||DILWALE AND TAMASHA
Coming fresh from the top trending DILWALE climax making shoot where everybody from the cast and crew are sharing their experience, having SRK vitally hinting at being a paradigm shift from action to emotion for a Rohit Shetty directorial venture.
No doubt such marketing/promotional activities/gimmicks helps in maintaining the buzz but a section of cine goers may find it acting as spoilers hindering their curiosity, enthusiasm and fun.
DILWALE is top on the hit list of B-town lovers of feel good romancers that stars B-town's most loved jodi of SRK and Kajol along with new age sensation Varun Dhawan along with Kirti Sanon. Helmed by super 'hit' helmer Rohit Shetty DILWALE carries immense curiosity but frankly speaking, a cine goer and/or an SRK/Kajol - rom com lover like me are not keen to know the climax way in advance, just like we hate anyone revealing the end of book I am keen to read.
Similarly the TAMASHA khulasa -that it will have a happy ending makes it obvious for any laymen that Ranbir and Deepika will meet in the end and stay happy for ever in the film. It may not be the same but by quotes of Imtiaz who says, “I want to assure everyone that Tamasha has a happy ending and people will feel elated. I guess all of us like happy endings. The film is filled with different kinds of emotions but when you leave the theatre, you will be smiling,'
The flop KATTI BATTI also saw its director Nikhil Advani openly saying in his media interviews that the end will make you cry.. an obvious hint of Kangana's death during the climax.
From first look, to songs, making. trailers, dialogues, and now the climax.. this raises an interesting question - what is more harmful - a movie turning up to be a cliché watch in the end or a movie that has already aroused the obvious what next feeling amongst the audience even before the advance booking began.
