Producer Guneet Monga is on cloud nine as four of her films will be screened at Mumbai Film Festival this year.

“It's a great feeling. It's a huge honour. We believe in these films. It feels very good to bring it out to Mumbai,” said an excited Gunnet.

Telling us more about the films, Guneet says, “The first film HARAMKHOR is a prohibited love story. It's between a teacher and a student. It's based in a small city. We have done a lot of research and found out that such things do happen. We don't know where the lines are drawn. So that is HARAMKHOR with Nawazzudin Siddique and Shweta Tripathi. It's directed by Shlok Sharma. The next film is PEDDLERS. It stars Gulshan Devaia, Nimrat Kaur and Siddharth Menon. That film went to Cannes in competition. It's a story of survival. Then the third film is MONSOON SHOOTOUT which is an out an out action thriller. It's a story which gives you three options – the right path, the wrong path and the middle path. It's an encounter story. It's directed by Amit Kumar and has Nawaaz, Neeraj Kabir, Vijay Varma, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Geetanjali Thapa. It's won a lot of awards worldwide. The fourth film is an Indo-Canadian co-production called KHOYA. It's directed by Sammy Khan.  It'll have its World Premiere at Mumbai Film Festival.

Ask Guneet whether film festivals help films and she says, “They help in creating buzz for the film. There are buyers, there's a film market in the Mumbai Film Festival. This is the first time that a market of such a scale is happening in India. Internationally also we sell our films going to a market. I hope I'm able to sell our films here. Studio heads and digital heads will be there and we will make a pitch. Maybe we'll get picked up. So festivals do help,” she said on a parting note.
