There was a time and trend (especially 90s and early 2000s) when actresses were only and always demanded to be in shape. But now the entire funda has transformed with the changing times. Today actresses are easily asked to put on kilos for the role. And even these pretty ladies don't mind gaining weight, if the role or the character that they are portraying is really worth it.

Recently, YRF find Bhumi Pednekar won over everyone's heart by playing an overweight housewife in the much acclaimed film DUM LAGA KE HAISHA. And now we saw Shahid Kapoor's half-sister, Pankaj Kapur-Supriya Pathak's daughter Sanah Kapur going on the similar lines. In her debut film SHAANDAAR itself, Sanah had put on 15 kgs for her character.

Ask Sanah about actresses easily going in for weight gain thing and she says, “It depends from character to character. Some characters need you to be in certain way, so I think as actors you are provoked to change yourself according to the requirement and that's what we all do.”

While Bhumi has already lost oodles of weight and looking slender & sexy these days, ask Sanah if she is also looking forward to shed kilos and she says, “As for the weight loss is concerned, it is important for every actor to be fit so that they can mould them into different characters. But each person has a different point of view what they want and how much they want to do. I did put on 15kgs and now I have lost it. I am on the journey of losing more, but just to be fit and get into different characters. But I don't think I would like to be size zero unless the character greatly demands it. If a particular character requires I might even go for it. But otherwise personally, I don't think I want to be of that size.”

Further probe Sanah if she will take up glam roles or go bold on-screen or else she has drawn any lines for herself and she clearly says, “No there are no lines that are drawn. I will take up any work that is good work. The work that I believe in and things that I want to do. I don't have set any boundaries. It can vary from glam to serious to dramatic to meaningful to whatever comes.”

Well, Sanah we would also love to explore your talent!
