While parents are your biggest strength and you also feel comfortable being yourself with them, performing sometimes in front of them can be awkward. Newbie Sanah Kapoor, who is not only making her debut with SHAANDAAR but also sharing screen space with father Pankaj Kapoor and brother Shahid Kapoor for the first time, faced a similar situation.

Recalling a particular scene from the film SHAANDAAR, Sanah reveals how she was stressed to enact it in front of dad Pankaj Kapoor, “There was a confrontational scene in the film between me and dad, where I am arguing with him that was something I was very worried about to perform. I was really stressed. It was only him and me in the scene and since there wasn't anybody else in it, I was highly nervous. My dad is one of the best actors the country has and enacting such type of scene with him wasn't easy. It was really scary. But as the camera rolled, I tried to remember that I am playing Isha and not Sanah.”

When we further asked her about the details of the scene, Sanah refused to divulge anything. “I am not allowed to. You watch the movie and then I will tell you about it more,” she quipped.

While in the film it seems Sanah plays a very headstrong character, ask her about her equation with dad Pankaj Kapoor in real life and she says, “My dad has been kind of person who has taught to stand on our own feet and have our own opinion. He has been more like a friend to us. But there have been times we have gotten into the argument but I have never spoken or raised my voice the way Isha, my character in the film SHAANDAAR talks to him. I respect a lot my father and it is just not the thing I would do. It was tough for me to talk to him like that in the film and also to act with him was tough.”

While she mentions about her father, Sanah also shares how she has been as a daughter, “I was not at all a mastikhor. I always listened to my parents that way I am very obedient. When I am with them, I am this nice girl. And when they are not around I have my fun (giggles). But I respect my parents and treat them with utter care and love. I would never shout or scream or throw tantrum at them.”

Well, Sanah, we are all the more eager to catch the film now!
