When our sibling is in the same profession, we tend to connect more with them not only personally but also professionally and our bond becomes even stronger. Such is the case with the Malik brothers Armaan & Amaal. The young & talented boys have worked together on a couple of songs like ‘Jai ho title track', ‘Naina', ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera' & they had become really popular among the masses. They are also working on some future projects together, but they never intend to become a team or be termed as a duo.

Said Armaan, “Actually Amaal & I are not a team. Everyone perceives us as a team probably like Vishal-Shekhar, Salim-Sulaiman, that kind of a team, but we aren't at all. It's just that we work closely together. Amaal is a real music composers & I'm an out-and-out playback singer.”

Talking about his musical bond with big brother Amaal, Armaan said, “Like how brothers shared music, it's as simple as that. We musically bond together. We jam, work on songs together so that kind of a comfort level is bound to happen with him & me. He helps me out in my singing, I help him out in his work. That musical sharing happens and I think that is important for us because we grow separately as well as together as brothers. But we're not going to be portrayed as a duo at all. Amaal is a solo composer and we don't plan on becoming a duo.”

And it wasn't only theirs, but also dad, Daboo Malik's decision to not work as a team. Armaan said, “We're very clear about this and that was my dad's plan as well. He never wants us to be a team together.”

Since he spoke about daddy dearest, we further ask him about the track he is working on with him. To which he said, “I'm doing one song which he has composed and I'm singing. I'm still working on it and planning to release it as a single.”

We then asked Armaan about his projects with Amaal which are CALENDAR GIRLS, MASTIZAADE & others, to which he said, “Yes, I've sung one song in each of those films and CALENDAR GIRLS has got one song which is an acoustic unplugged song which I'm really looking forward to. So ya, that's an exciting one.”

Further sharing about his other projects, Armaan said, “Plus I'm singing for other composers as well. I don't know when those will come out. I've sung for Shankar Ehsaan Loy also.” Further enquiry which movie that is for and he says, “That is for this movie called GHAYAL RETURNS. I'm not sure when is it going to be out, but I've sung one song for them.”

“Plus apart from that I've sung for Pritam sir and other music composers as well. It's a good space I'm in right now. And people are discovering my voice as of now. So songs like ‘Main Hoon Hero Tera' coming out is important for me,” he added.

While we wish you get to work with various music composers in the future also, we hope to hear more from Amaal & you together, especially since your rock stars have given us some amazing chartbusters! Also, we wish you luck for your single with dad.
