Amongst all other movie clashes, Shah Rukh Khan–Kajol's DILWALE is going to clash with Deepika Padukone–Ranveer Singh–Priyanka Chopra's BAJIRAO MASTANI.

And when we attended BAJIRAO MASTANI's ‘Gajanana' song launch event in Pune, how could we not ask the obvious question?

So we indeed asked Deepika Padukone about her movie BAJIRAO MASTANI clashing with Shah Rukh Khan starrer and Rohit Shetty directed movie (both of whom Deepika has already worked with in the past and they have given a hit movie, CHENNAI EXPRESS together too!). To which Deepika Padukone replied, “I honestly want to say that it's not as complicated as it's being made to sound or is being written. It's very simple. I think that the kind of film they are making and the kind of film we are making are very different. BAJIRAO (MASTANI) right now is so consuming for all of us. We're literally like horses with blinkers. I don't think we even have the time to worry about who's doing what. We have our own deadlines, a date that we are working towards. In the process, if some other films happen to come around the same time, then I really believe that they are two completely different kinds of films. There's enough space for both films to come on the same date and do well.”

Ask Deepika how the screens will be divided according to her and she says, “I'm not a producer or distributor. I don't understand number of screens or the business of filmmaking. So from that point of view, I don't know. And from an actors' point of view, I know that film (DILWALE) is very different from what we've made (referring to BAJIRAO MASTANI).”

Well played, Deepika Padukone. It's good to hear that you are focused about your film, but hard to digest the fact that you don't even have the time to think or rather worry about the clash (especially since the audiences are eager to watch Shah Rukh Khan–Kajol back after MY NAME IS KHAN, which released 5 years back). Because if we were in your place, we would definitely be worried if an evergreen (on-screen) couple will be competing with us!
