Looks like the delay in Salman Khan produced, Nikhil Advani directed, HERO starring Sooraj Pancholi & Athiya Shetty was a well-planned one. The makers wanted to bank on Salman Khan's BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN popularity and hence decided to release the film after BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN.
HERO has got mixed reviews from the critics & audiences, but director Nikhil Advani has another film to think about. Yes, his directorial venture KATTI BATTI starring Imran Khan & Kangana Ranaut is hitting the screens this week and at one point, the director feared that both his films would clash.
For actors, working on two projects simultaneously may or may not be an easy task but for a director, it seems to be tough. Ask Nikhil about it as his film are releasing back-to-back and he says, “It wasn't planned like that. HERO we pushed from July 3rd to September 11th because we thought it should come after BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN. We should capitalize on the popularity of BAJRANGI. So we pushed HERO.”

He feared that HERO & KATTI BATTI would release on the same day. He told us, “At one point I was only fighting that they don't come on the same day.”
He further said that having back-to-back release isn't the best of the situation, but according to the ‘experts', it is no big deal. “It's not an ideal situation, but I think that the experts feel that it's not a big deal so I leave it to their opinion & their expertise,” he further added.
Well Nikhil, the golden Salman Khan touch to HERO may have helped the film a little more with the box office figures, but we don't know what will happen with KATTI BATTI. Since you have maintained that we are going to be in for a surprise as you haven't shown us what exactly the film is, we better not be disappointed because we have really high hopes. We still wish you luck!
