Everybody knows that Salman Khan is producing the film HERO (remake of Subhash Ghai's Jackie Shroff starrer) and launching the careers of Sooraj Pancholi-Athiya Shetty. But there were reports that Salman Khan had said ‘no to kissing scenes' in the movie. Not only that, Salman even refined the movie by cutting 30 minutes from it!
So when we caught up with him at the music concert of HERO, we quizzed him if these stories were true?
Speaking about no kissing scene in HERO, Salman Khan said, “There was no kissing scene in the film. We wanted to put one, but they (HERO leads Sooraj Pancholi – Athiya Shetty) refused.”
Probe him about reports stating that he was the one to say no and Salman says, “I've never done a kissing scene, so how can I ask them to do it? And I don't think Nikhil, Sooraj, Athiya or anyone's interested. I only think you're interested, because you're asking me that question.”
On asking him further about the reason for not putting a kissing scene in HERO, Salman said, “Why do you want someone else to kiss? You should kiss yourself.”
We later asked him the reason for deleting 30 minutes of HERO. To this, Salman Khan said, “Yes that is true. We used Subhash ji's epic as a storyboard. Bolte hai na ki yaar woh thodi si bees minute kam honi chahiye thi. Toh humne woh bees minute nikaal diye (We say na, that the 20 minutes weren't needed, so we removed that time), for the betterment of your watching.”
Well, that's considerate of you Salman Khan. Because nowadays, who even thinks about the audiences?
