Bollywood remembers pop music icon Prince

Bollywood celebrities on Friday joined millions of fans across the globe in mourning the death of pop music icon Prince Rogers Nelson.


Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is currently attempting to make her mark in Hollywood with her performance in US TV series 'Quantico' and her upcoming film BAYWATCH, remembered the singer and tweeted: "This is what it sounds like, When doves cry..My favourite artist of all time..RIP Prince..U leave a legacy behind that will last for all time."

Actor Hrithik Roshan said: "#RIP Prince. U were actually the King. Thank you for being a friend in good n bad times to millions."

Dancing Diva Madhuri Dixit said Prince had inspired musicians for generations. "A legend is no more. RIP Prince. He has inspired generations of musicians world over. Purple Rain my fav song," she said.

Filmmaker Farah Khan wrote: " N now the bad news..Prince is no more..his music helped me through many bad times when I was younger.. N evn now."

Abhishek Bachchan posted: "Prince was one of the greatest musicians of our generation. Rest in peace. #PurpleRain."

Musician Vishal Dadlani expressed: "Today, nothing exists but #Prince. Musicians always speak of his guitar-playing with hushed awe. Here's why."

Singer Shaan posted: "PRINCE 'Nothing compares to you ..' His music was funky,sexy, raw yet stylish.. Another Iconic Musician gone too soon."

Arshad Warsi wrote: "First MJ & now Prince. They were my inspiration when I was a Choregrapher. Will miss them & their music.... RIP."

Singer Mika Singh posted: "Sad to hear of the demise of legendary #Prince..Very few people know that he & #MJ were followers of James brown."

Actor-producer Arbaaz Khan said: "RIP Prince ... Grew up listening to your awesome music. The Purple rain album is an all time."

Pop music icon Prince Rogers Nelson, who is popularly known as Prince, breathed his last on Thursday, media reports said. The musician was 57. According to reports, he died at his compound in Minnesota.
