Hrithik Roshan announced the wrap on his social media handle, sharing a picture of himself holding a clap board flashing the release date with director Ashutosh Gowarikar with whom he teams up for the second time after JODHAA AKBAR.
Hrithik wrote, 'Journeys that test strength of character are ones you should be most PROUD OF! Its a WRAP! #MohenjoDaro.
Set in the ancient city of Mohenjo-daro, Sindh, Pakistan in the era of the Indus Valley civilization that dates back to 2600 BC, MOHENJO DARO is a period love saga starring Hrithik Roshan in lead. The movie also marks the debut of Pooja Hegde and also features veteran actor Kabir Bedi in a pivotal role.
The announcement triggers an interesting clash of Akshay Kumar with Hrithik Roshan on August 12 2016. Though both are set in a specific period and trying to cash on the Independence day Holiday weekend, but the genres are completely different. Akshay for a change does a romantic murder mystery - RUSTOM which is said to be based on the infamous Nanavati murder case in 1959, whereas Hrithik Roshan shifts his urban, cool dapper look for the second time after KRRISH and plays a 2600 BC farmer.
