Quite expectedly, the front runner of the week turned out to be the Hollywood venture, THE JUNGLE BOOK, both in its dubbed as well as original version(s). With a 50-55 percent start (on an average), which can be termed excellent for a Hollywood venture, the film is all set for a great weekend.

From the Hindi releases, it was the Vikram Bhatt directed LOVE GAMES, featuring Tara Alisha Berry, Gaurav Arora and Patralekhaa, which put up a fair performance at select cinemas (predominantly single screens). The other release, Film Magic Productions Pvt. Ltd.'s CLUB DANCER, turned out to be a damp squib.
Meanwhile, the Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor starrer, KI & KA, managed a decent opening week, in the range of 34-36 crore (as per the rough early estimates). Given the ordinary start the performance is quite creditable and augers well for the box-office prospects of the film, more so if we take the quite good overseas run into account. The R. Balki directed, KI & KA , is all set to be a success for the two Kapoor scions!
