Amitabh Bachchan, who was last seen in Vidya Balan starrer TE3N, is all set to be seen in action with Shoorjit Sircar's next PINK starring Taapsee Pannu.
The movie deals with women empowerment and difficulties that a women faces in Delhi. Amitabh plays a lawyer and unveils stark truth on Taapsee Pannu's case.
Reportedly the movie is influenced by Nirbhaya rape case. The movie depicts real court room drama, as well as hard hitting dialogues by Mr. Bachchan.
At the trailer launch of the movie PINK, when asked Mr. Bachchan what does he wish this Independence Day, he averred, “I want rape free India.”
Furthermore speaking about growing crime rate in India, he opined, “It is extremely disgusting and as a nation we at times hang our heads in shame reading such incidents that have happened as irresponsible citizens, and individuals we need to educate ourselves. As far as law is concerned I respect the judiciary system law enforcement of our country and we are no one to counter them.”
