B-town can't stop raving about Olympic winner PV Sindhu

Last night was indeed the most glorious moment for Indians as we witnessed a historic win at Rio Olympics


PV Sindhu, first Indian women, to strike for a silver medal in badminton after Sakshi Malik won a bronze in wrestling. This was surely the most epic moment for every India across the globe.

Sindhu lost to Spain's Carolina Marin. While back in hometown, stars like Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan were seen watching the match and post the announcement of medal went gaga over it. B-town along with social media followers went berserk and congratulated the 21 year old star.

One of the most surprising posts came from south superstar Rajinikant who rarely on social media is declared being fan of PV Sindhu. While we are aware of Rajinikanth's huge fan following, when he congratulated the badminton star it was indeed epic.

Rajnikant's post read, “Hats off to you #PVSindhu .... I have become a great fan of yours ... Congratulations!

As Amitabh Bachchan is constantly encouraging the participants at Rio Olympics be it Sakshi Malik to now PV Sindhu after the win he wrote, “#PVSindhu you played your heart out ! All of India is so so proud of you .. Thank for giving us that moment of pride !!!

Yet again he couldn't hold his excitement and shared, “#PVSindhu .. look what you did .. you had 1.25 billion people rooting for you !! That is no mean achievement! Proud of you!!

Many B-town actors too congratulated Silver Star PV Sindhu.

Hrithik Roshan wrote, “I was on the edge of my seat. What a game & what an athlete. PV Sindhu! You have won our hearts. #proud.”

Shah Rukh Khan, who is in US for his son Aryan's orientation made sure he congratulates the winning streak of sports girls and wrote,  “Sakshi….Sindhu…. Dono ko Salaam!”

RUSTOM star Akshay Kumar wrote, “Lead India to glory @Pvsindhu1 !!! What an achievement reaching the final...India is proud !!!”

Alia Bhatt posted, “You go girl!!!!! Making EVERY one of us proud!!!! Congratulations #PVSindhu #SinduWinsSilver #Rio2016 shineeee onnnnnnn.”
