The much talked about suggestions for CBFC reforms by Shyam Benegal won't be a cakewalk at all.

According to reports, the suggestions recommended by Shyam Benegal committee which includes categories like ‘Adult with Caution' and scrapping censor cuts and an ‘uncut' certifications will be discussed during the winter session of the parliament before coming to any conclusion.

It was reported earlier that the said suggestions for CBFC reforms was submitted to I & B Minister Arun Jaitely and the Minister assured that necessary action would be taken.

CBFC however is alleged to have difference in the opinion and is also blamed to curb the freedom of expression by dictating terms and moral policing.

The CBFC chairman Pahlaj Nihalani has reportedly denied CBFC playing the role of moral police and said that whatever suggestions/changes passed by the Parliament's winter session which commences from the coming November 26 running till 23rd December of this year will be implemented by CBFC.

So going by this, it is likely that the suggested reforms will be discussed and even if it gets passed, the implementation will come into force only by next year.
