Sony Pictures Entertainment(SPE), India, has powered its movie slate with the appointment of veteran production hand Ram Mirchandani as Head of Creative Development. He will be responsible for mounting the local production film slate for the company and will report to Vivek Krishnani, Managing Director, Sony Pictures Entertainment, India.
Considered as a ‘trailblazer in high content cinema in India', Ram holds two decades of industry experience in production and is proudly involved in Bollywood's modern landmarks like RANG DE BASANTI, VICKY DONOR along with ROCKSTAR, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA, OYE LUCKY OYE etc.
Ram was also founder and CEO of Rampage Motion Pictures where he co-produced the break out hit and national award winning film VICKY DONOR. Prior to joining SPE India, Ram was COO at Endemol, India and was heading its motion pictures division. Ram has also led the creative teams at Eros International.
