Ram Madhvani and Atul Kasbekar, both first-timers in Bollywood (Ram first time Bollywood director and Atul first time producer), delivered a mind-blowing movie NEERJA, and like the others thought, the two have taken the next logical step - of once again collaborating for a movie.

Speaking on this development, Atul confirmed the news saying, 'Ram and I got together so well during the making of NEERJA that I took it upon myself to flood him with ideas and scripts. Mercifully, there's one he really liked and is under development. Its a completely different genre from NEERJA and I can't wait to get started, for us like with NEERJA an excellent script is the basis of making a motion picture and if it works out, this story has a massive franchise potential'.
Yes, both Atul and Ram have already shortlisted another script that has mutually excited them and they will be working towards getting that movie on floors later this year. With strong buzz around NEERJA, we hope the next project too would be around a similar topic and be equally as interesting.
Further, when we got to speak exclusively to Atul, we asked the producer how does he think would he be able to stand up to the audience's expectations after setting a benchmark with NEERJA and he said, ''That's a very high bar to follow, but our attempt would be that at a script level - it's a very powerful and good story. For example, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN is an extremely powerful story. It's a commercial film, but it doesn't mean that such a film can't have a strong story. It was a great story and the fact that it's got Salman Khan in it, or just adds two extra zeros to the collections. But in reality, it's undoubtedly a great story.''
Sources say the duo will be working on comedy genre for which castings will start next month and the shoot will start in August 2016, but with Atul's words, we are hoping to see something amazing come our way soon enough!
