Over to Katrina and Aditya.
What was your idea of FITOOR when the movie came to you?
FITOOR is a strong obsession, desire. The movie came to me and it's a passionate strong love story as ‘Great Expectations' on which it is based. When I read the script, I felt I am on a similarly good passionate streak.
Has your meaning for love changed after FITOOR?
Katrina: It's a film not life. FITOOR is a passionately engaging love story and I have done my part as an actress. Nothing has changed. Now it's time for the audience to react.
Aditya: Interesting. In DAAWAT – E-ISHQ the character ‘Tariq' was a happy, good natured character. Always ready to offer his hospitality, encouraging people to eat his own food. I felt lot of positivity in the character who didn't feel bad about others. I hope, I could carry such traits in my personal life.
In a relationship, we get judgmental and try to find fault in other person and I have played such characters in my previous films.
Here playing ‘Noor' in FITOOR, I came to know about unconditional love. A man who loves a person so much that he ignores her negative sides. I won't say I will be blind in love in future but certainly will try to be more open and acceptable in my future relationships.
"Katrina Kaif: It's difficult for me to make any statement on love."
But love has its demands and comes with expectations?
Katrina: I don't think I can make any grand statements on love. Prominent writers and poets have expressed it differently and I believe it depends on the person and situations. You change a situation, a person changes and when you change a person, situation changes. Ghalib, Meer have conflicting thoughts.. what can I say.
Aditya: as I said earlier the character ‘Noor' helped me in understanding that manipulations in relationships won't work in the long run.
Katrina: Yeah and it's how you see that moment and conduct yourself. It's difficult for me to make any statement on love. There is still time for me, I have yet more to learn on love.
A lot has been talked about your chemistry in the film. Do you feel being in relationship adds to the expression feel and makes it better or being out from relationships asks for extra effort in doing romantic scenes?
Aditya: An actor's job is to perform as per the demand of the scene.. Being in love or not being in love. As an actor you have to be passionate enough on screen.
Katrina Kaif: Have to just take it as a job. The surroundings inner or personal should not matter.
