Filmmaker Hansal Mehta long back announced about doing a film with Bollywood ‘Queen' Kangana Ranaut. While reports suggested that they were earlier to do SARBJIT's biopic, Kangana-Hansal later on joined hands for yet another film called SIMRAN. A couple of months ago, news was also agog that Hansal's film with Kangana was supposed to go on floors in October 2015. However, it seems both Hansal and Kangana got engaged with their respective films ALIGARH and RANGOON.
While ALIGARH has already hit the screens, Kangana Ranuat is still filming Vishal Bhardwaj's RANGOON with Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. Nevertheless, Kangana revealed the plans of SIMRAN at the special screening of ALIGARH.
Kangana, who graced the screening and specially came to watch good friend Hansal Mehta's film, said, “After RANGOON, we (Hansal and I) will be starting our film SIMRAN. I am big fan of Hansal Mehta's films. I have seen all of his work and I am sure SIMRAN will also be as endearing as ALIGARH.”
Kangana was totally in awe of Hansal Mehta's lately released film ALIGARH that stars Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao. She couldn't stop raving about it. “ALIGARH is the best film I have ever in last one decade. It's just like medicine, which may be difficult to take but should be taken for the betterment. Similarly films like ALIGARH are good for our society. It's very courageous for Hansal Mehta to make this film. His film is so beautiful that it's like a poem. And I can go and on talking about it.”
She also showered praises on Manoj Bajpayee's performance, “Rajkummar is also good but Manoj Bajpayee has truly stunned us. He has done such good job. 100 flying kisses to him!”
After knowing Hansal's craft as a filmmaker and Kangana's caliber as an actor, we are sure their collaboration will also create fireworks.
