The mention of Patralekhaa, takes one back to her strong acting prowess in CITYLIGHTS, her debut movie directed by Hansal Mehta.

Hansal's recent outing was with Patralekhaa's co-star and beau Rajkummar Rao in ALIGARH. Together, Hansal and Rajkummar have done 3 films - CITYLIGHTS, SHAHID and ALIGARH.

Defining her CITYLIGHTS shooting experience, Patralekhaa said it was like a film school to her.

"Hansal Mehta is my guru, my mentor. Whatever I have learnt about cinema and acting is through him. Working on CITYLIGHTS was like a film school experience. I am thankful I had that experience because that has helped me immensely. I was so comfortable with his style of working as he is outspoken and gives great freedom to his actors. My respect for him doubles every time I watch him create magic on screen. Really look forward to work with him soon," said Patralekhaa.

The actress supposedly always consults Hansal before finalising any project and considers his advice before taking any decision, and it seems Patralekhaa agreed to LOVE GAMES only after Hansal's consult.

Essaying the role of Ramona in the Vikram Bhatt directorial, the actress is set onto take on her first ever negative role. Patralekhaa found it challenging to take on a role of a sexually liberated edgy woman on-screen, but later took it up on herself to not only perform but also give her best to the role.

Speaking on her choice of doing this film, she said, "My character Ramona, is an unapologetic sexual predator who holds no bars in getting what she wants. When I read the script, I was taken aback but was also teased by a sense of challenge to do something that was complete contrast to what I played on screen in CITYLIGHTS. I believe, as an actor, I would like to play roles which are far different from me as a person in real life to always keep the challenge on. Truth be told, I feel Ramona is the most dangerous character to have been penned and hopefully essayed on screen and I'm glad I took it on. I'm lucky to have got this kind of a transformation which very few actresses get".
