Taapsee Pannu entered Bollywood with the image of a glamorous actress (through her south movies background and even CHASHME BADDOOR), but now it seems the lady is ready to shed that tag – first with BABY and now GHAZI. Yes, you heard that right. Taapsee is again going de-glam for her next project with Rana Daggubati.
Seems like the success of BABY and also the appreciation for her character has influenced Taapsee to a great extent, because of which she is going de-glam for two back-to-back projects. The actress is said to be playing the character of a refugee and thus her role demands a de-glam look (just like it was in BABY).
It is also being confirmed by sources close to her that the actress is seen in a simple look and there are very minimalistic efforts being put behind her styling.
Taapsee confirmed the same. She said, “It's interesting when you portray characters of the past, especially when they are involved in some historic event. Since I play a refugee and most of the movie is shot in a submarine, it barely gives any scope for characters to play costume drama. Moreover since I will be portraying a character who has gone through enough shocks and troubles, I carry no makeup look. In fact I need to look more worn down to suit certain scenes.”
Good to hear, and more so, we are thinking if Taapsee does have an action sequence or something similar in this movie too (especially since she calls her character ‘tough'.)
