Till now you have heard John sing praises for his DISHOOM director Rohit Dhawan. But do you know that these two brothers from another mothers too had a (verbal DISHOOM) disagreement at one point of time?
John revealed so during his interviews for the movie. He said, “Without hearing the script (of DISHOOM) and based on just the characterization, I told Rohit I don't want to smoke, since it's not good. He said, 'No bro, the character smokes and it's very important to the film.'”
However, John later agreed and the result John revealed was, “When you see the film, you will understand that the smoking is relevant from the first to the last frame.
Of course, smoking is not so cool and we don't propagate it, but sometimes you have to play certain characters.”
But how did John agree to do DISHOOM? Well, it was because of his bonding to Rohit Dhawan since DESI BOYZ.
“I said yes to DISHOOM because of Rohit Dhawan. Since I did DESI BOYZ with him, I know his potential as a director. If Rohit had offered a script that I didn't like, I would have still done it.”
Wow! That's some revelation!
But John added, “Fortunately DISHOOM is a fantastic film, because Rohit concentrates not on the proposal but on the story that he wants to tell. It's relevant. A cricketer getting kidnapped is not something unheard of today; it is a possibility that can happen.”
Apart from John, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Akshaye Khanna play the lead roles in this movie. Parineeti Chopra too is romancing Varun in the item song ‘Jaaneman Aah'.
