The SULTAN (read King) of box office Salman Khan has been beaten in his game by Hrithik Roshan.
According to reports, The Bollywood Greek god in looks has signed a whopping 550 crore satellite deal for his next six films which takes off next year starting with KAABIL.
Previously Salman Khan struck a 500-crore deal for films between 2013 and 2017 for a leading TV network.
Hrithik is all geared up for his most awaited period epic MOHENJO DARO by Ashutosh Gowarikar and was last seen in BANG, BANG, Siddharth Anand's official remake of the Hollywood actioner - KNIGHT AND DAY starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. The movie collected Rs. 181 crore nett.
Hrithik's last four films, over the last five years, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA in 2011 minted 95 crore net, AGNEEPATH in 2012 earned 122 crore net, KRRISH 3 the following year went on to clock 188 crore net. The commercial success of his films is reportedly the reason for this deal.
The satellite market is showing huge interest in popular stars who have ‘mass' appeal, Salman, Hrithik and even Varun Dhawan is said to be in huge demand. A rumor of his upcoming films bagging a 300-crore deal has made good rounds in the market.
