Salman Khan's SULTAN is widely praised for the performances and it has been churning out good numbers at the box office.

However, Salman was gripped in a huge controversy after his rape remark comments wherein he compared exhaustion during shooting wrestling scenes to that of a raped woman. This did not go down too well and many people and social media went berserk with the news.
Post this news, several actors were asked about Salman's rape remark comment. Most of them stood for him while some gave a diplomatic answer and some didn't like the remark.
The recent actor who spoke about this issue was Vivek Oberoi.
Inspite of Vivek and Salman's cold war since ages, Vivek still spoke up for Salman. The actor, soon to be seen in GREAT GRAND MASTI, said, “I think media has a better perspective about it. As a lot of people whom I chatted with 14 years ago are now editors and reached a certain level, it's more like a rat race. They sometimes tell me at the end of the day, anybody who's a journalist has some degree of respect for the work which is why they chose that part. However it sums upto sensationalizing things. When you don't get something, people tend to make something out of something which actually isn't there at all. People twist, attribute and go as far as they can push something to create enough noise to grab attention. It is that generation where everybody wants everything quick.”
Furthermore Vivek went on to say, “Earlier, I would interact with people at my place over a coffee but today I have PR people standing when I'm talking to the journalists. Everybody needs a layer of protection now. At the end of the day, we are actors and if people keep doing that to actors, we will keep putting more barriers. There will be lesser access which is what politicians are doing now because they got hammered so badly. That's going to affect both the industries. It's a very important and large question. I don't know how you are going to put this in perspective.'
We surely wonder what Bhai has to say post Vivek's long speech!
