The ongoing battle between the producers and Censor Board over the issue of UDTA PUNJAB is growing by the day and B-town has also come in full support for the Shahid Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer.
Aamir Khan is the latest celebrity to join the list of growing voices from the film industry against the current issue.
In a recent event, Aamir voiced his opinion saying, “It's very unfortunate. I'm pained that the film is going through this. As per my knowledge, it is based on drug addiction and delivers a social message. I don't think there is anything that should be cut or audience should be kept away,”
He added further, “I believe there were supposed to be changes in CBFC and there won't be any cuts; only certification as per age group. So it's strange and shocking to see so many cuts in the film. I haven't seen the film but to hear these things are strange. I hope the film gets justice at the tribunal. The voice of the film and filmmaker shouldn't be curbed. They should have a free voice to speak. I wish them all the best.”
Indeed, UDTA PUNJAB has brought the entire industry under one roof!
