While news has it that Endemol India's next film VIRAL, based on social media and how it affects people's life, will star Kartik Aaryan and Mandana Karimi. Sources reveal that Kartik, who shot to fame with the blockbuster PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA franchise (through his monologue), has turned down the film, as the script didn't appeal to him.

Adds the source, 'The makers were keen to have Kartik on board since he appeals to the young audience and is someone who has a great male fan following as well as die-hard female fans, which is required for a film with a subject based on social media. However, he turned the film down as the script did not appeal to him. Meanwhile Kartik is gearing up for his next project - a remake of a South film under Aanand Rai's production.”

Well, that's just sad, because Kartik might have fit perfect with demand to the script. But then again, his choice!
