Saif Ali Khan's business partner Dinesh Vijan, who is making his debut as director with RAABTA starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon, is all set to release his upcoming film on February 10, 2017. While RAABTA being a love story is targeted for Valentine weekend so as to appeal to the youth, we wonder if the makers have taken a risk.

Well, if we go by the record of past seven years, Bollywood movies that released during Valentine week haven't really done well. Some films sank without a trace, while some others only gained critical acclaim and failed to set the cash registers ringing in at Box-office. Here's the list of some good ventures that were highly anticipated to do well as they were slated to hit the screens during Valentine period.
2009: BILLU (February 13, 2009)
2010: MY NAME IS KHAN (February 12, 2010)
2011: PATIALA HOUSE (February 11, 2011)
2012: EK MAIN AUR EKK TU and EK DEEWANA THA (February 10, 2012)
2013: JAYANTABHAI KI LUV STORY and MURDER 3 (February 15, 2013)
2014: GUNDAY (February 14, 2014)
2015: ROY (February 13, 2015)
2016: FITOOR and SANAM RE (February 12, 2016)
It was Ashutosh Gowariker's Hrithik Roshan-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan starrer JODHAA AKBAR that released way back in 2008 (February 15, 2008) and it appealed the lovers. The movie was a huge hit. Since then we haven't seen Bollywood movies really swaying the hearts on this lovey-dovey occasion.
So it is to be seen if RAABTA, produced by T-Series and Maddock Films, succeeds in breaking the jinx of Valentine release!
