Yet again, it was a similar box-office scenario that we have been witnessing time and again this year. To cut a long story short, the Hollywood release, CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, opened on a good account (50 percent plus), especially at multiplexes, beating Bollywood hands down!
As far as the Hindi releases are concerned, it was Sharman Joshi's 1920 LONDON which saw the best start at around 20 percent occupancy followed by Tanuj Viwani-Sunny Leone starrer ONE NIGHT STAND which garnered 15 percent opening. The third release, the critically acclaimed Manoj Bajpayee, Jimmy Shergill and Divya Dutta starrer, TRAFFIC, was well below the mark!
Concluding with Sajid Nadiadwala's Tiger Shroff starrer, BAAGHI, which, after netting 59 crore (to be validated) during the opening week from India, remained the first choice of the audience, as far as Hindi films are concerned. For the layman, it means that the 35 crore (raw cost) BAAGHI is all set to be a clean hit in the days and weeks to come.
