She may be known as the fashionista of Bollywood, but Bollywood actress Kangana Ranuat seems to lack the art of dressing as per the occasion. While we have always lauded Kangana's style statement and her unique fashion sense, somehow the lanky lady didn't please us this time around when she opted for a ultra-glam look at the 63rd National Awards held in national capital.
Many Bollywood's A-list actresses in the past have been conferred with National award - from Madhuri Dixit to Vidya Balan to Tabu Priyanka Chopra, and all of them followed a particular dress code that of making an appearance in a traditional attire. Despite their glam quotient on-screen, these actresses maintained a certain dignity of dress code while appearing in front of the President to receive the coveted honour.
We are not claiming it to be a mandatory outfit but when it comes to a public event, especially when you are receiving the prestigious National honour, there is a way of styling. Even Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who was present to cheer and hoot for paa-in-law Amitabh Bachchan receiving the National Award for PIKU, came clad in a saree and draped a body language of being the perfect Bachchan ‘Bahu'.
Well neither Kangana's dressing bad nor her body language but the off-shoulder gown that she chose to don instead of traditional attire rather looked apt for a Red Carpet glitzy page 3 event. Looks like Kangana needs to take serious lessons on her misplaced fashion sense!
