While the makers of RAEES, producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, may be heaving a sigh of relief for postponing the film in order to avoid a huge clash with Salman Khan starrer SULTAN, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer RAEES yet will not enjoy the solo release.

While RAEES may have escaped to face the competition from the mighty star Salman Khan's SULTAN, it isn't out of the clash drama. In fact, RAEES will now face a clash from two biggies. Both Hrithik Roshan's KAABIL being directed by Sanjay Gupta and Ajay Devgn-Milan Luthria's comeback venture BAADSHAHO have been scheduled to hit the screens on Republic Day i.e. January 26, 2017.

KAABIL release was planned well in advance. Producer Rakesh Roshan booked the release date of KAABIL for January 2017 because all the major dates of 2016 were occupied by other big stars. Also, Hrithik's much-touted MOHENJO DARO is releasing this year on Independence Day (August 15, 2016), so it was a wise decision on the part of KAABIL team to shift it to 2017. Since, they locked on the date first and have the plans in place (reportedly the film will be shot and wrapped-up in a three-month stretch from April-June); it doesn't appear that KAABIL would now postpone its release.

On the other hand, BAADSHAHO was postponed because of Ajay Devgn's ambitious project SHIVAAY. So, again Ajay-Milan may not be in a mood to give  up on the release of their film (and as we all know how stubborn Ajay is regarding the release of his projects from SON OF SARDAAR to SHIVAAY, the star never budged, so why he would do it for RAEES?). It looks impossible for BAADSHAHO to reconsider its release date.
Moreover, it won't be advisable for Shah Rukh Khan's RAEES, which is ready to release, to further make any changes as it may affect the credibility and star status of SRK.
Looks like RAEES is under a catch 22 situation because either ways they have to face the clash. And even if they move ahead, then it is certainly not good for the film!
