King Khan Shah Rukh Khan is heading for a clash with Bollywood's face of patriotism Akshay Kumar dobara (again). SRK's THE RING (working title) co–starring Anushka Sharma and helmed by Imtiaz Ali is set to clash with Akshay Kumar's already announced CRACK on Independence Day weekend next year.

SHAH RUKH KHAN AND AKSHAY KUMARSHAH RUKH KHAN AND AKSHAY KUMAR

This is SRK's third clash in a row (if we take SRK's role in DEAR ZINDAGI as an extended cameo) after DILWALE and the upcoming RAEES.

Significantly, this is SRK's second clash with Akshay Kumar. Though CHENNAI EXPRESS which was initially pitted against Akshay Kumar's ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI DOBARA to cash on favourable Eid weekend on 8 th August 2013 got averted, but it left some bad feelings.

SRK and UTV reportedly managed to convince Jeetendra by keeping the Eid slot for themselves and reportedly promising a let off of good number of screens for Akshay Kumar starrer ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAI DOBAARA to enjoy the Independence Day release next week. But reportedly the promise was not kept to the satisfaction of Balaji by the CHENNAI EXPRESS team leaving Ekta Kapoor getting vocal in crying foul.

Anyhow, this time Akshay Kumar is in more demanding position then SRK with three back to back hits – RUSTOM, AIRLIFT and HOUSEFULL 3 and is not likely to blink plus the alleged betrayal last year may still be nursing somewhere in the hearts.

As reported earlier after the unfavourable experience during DILWALE clash with BAJIRAO MASTANI, team SRK has tried unsuccessful measures to avert the clash between RAEES and Hrithik Roshan's KAABIL scheduled to cash on Republic Day weekend next year – 26 January 2016.

It will be interesting to see what strategy gets applied by team SRK this time for the highly-awaited Imtiaz Ali film. Or they are working on their plans already?.

Well, the announcement of SRK, Anushka Sharma starrer THE RING (working title) by none other than Salman khan hints that something is cooking on this front.

Going by the past experience, Akshay Kumar is unlikely to blink and the mystery surrounding CRACK is kept intact with just that broken and cracked pair of spectacles in the poster of the film directed by Neeraj Pandey announcing the date of arrival.

Whereas, SRK reportedly plays a guide in the Imtiaz Ali film THE RING (working title) and Anushka Sharma plays a tourist travelling across Europe. So the ball is now in Akshay Kumar's court, as things get fiercely competitive, any revelation on CRACK will now be seriously tracked by SRKians worldwide.
