Post Uri attack the scenario around the release of Bollywood films AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL and RAEES is in turmoil. Thanks to the ultimatum given by some political parties and IMPPA's (temporary) ban on Pakistani artists.

Pakistani artists like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan and Ali Zafar who are working in upcoming Bollywood projects were given ultimatum to leave India within stipulated period by a political party, reportedly. These parties even asked the respective filmmakers to reshoot the portions having these Pakistani artists or else they won't allow these films to hit the silver screens.

Later IMPPA (Indian Motion Pictures Producers Association) announced a ban on Pakistani artists working in Bollywood projects. However, it seems IMPAA could sense the filmmakers' plight who are ready with their product and also to respect the sentiments of the country, IMPPA, as per the reports, cleared that the films which have been already shot should not face any troubles and allowed to release smoothly. This mid-way solution suggested by IMPPA could bring a sense of great relief for all the filmmakers whose films are ready to release or in the offing and also to the producers, who have invested huge monies in these films.

As the release dates of these films are nearing, IMPPA is trying its best to give a smooth release to these movies. Ashoke Pandit, Vice President, IMPPA posted on a social networking site, the letter which IMPPA submitted to PMO and tweeted, “#IMPPA in its letter to PM @narendramodi JI urges him to cancel all the work permits issued to #PakPerformers.@SushmaSwaraj @rajnathsingh.”
But going with the latest news, the political parties are bit adamant to give a go ahead to these films. So, reportedly, in order to save the situation IMPPA has again requested these parties to keep a meeting where a final consensus will be reached between these political parties as well as the producers who have invested in such projects.

While Fawad Khan is playing a pivotal cameo in Karan Johar's upcoming directorial venture AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL, Mahira Khan is paired opposite Shah Rukh Khan in RAEES. But reshooting a portion which has already been shot will make a huge hole in the producers' pockets. So now the loss will be entirely of the Indian producers and not that of those artists who have been already paid well in advance.

We hope that the producers' body and the political parties will be able to arrive to a favorable decision soon and if not, then the loss will be entirely of the Indian filmmakers, producers and people involved in these projects.
