Karan Johar's upcoming next AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL and Shah Rukh Khan's RAEES came in trouble right after Uri attacks, and especially after surgical strikes. As both the flicks stars Pakistan artists (namely Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan) in significant roles, the makers of both the movies were asked to chop off scenes featuring them and to even halt the release of the film by a political party.

While everyone focused on Karan Johar's AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL because Fawad Khan's presence was evident, none cared to check that before Kjo's ADHM, Fawad Khan was also part of MS DHONI: The Untold Story, helmed by Neeraj Pandey. Fawad Khan played cricketer Virat Kohli in the film and the buzz around it was there all across. The film hit the screens on September 30th, when the surgical operation was just successfully accomplished (i.e. on 29th September midnight).

But before even anyone could raise eyebrows, Neeraj Pandey at the 11th hour took a decision and deleted Fawad's role entirely from the film. It is being said that Neeraj didn't want any negative publicity or controversy around the film. Though Fawad Khan's character was an integral part of the film, but it wasn't as important as that of MS Dhoni's.

MS DHONI came at a time when the Indo-Pak tension just began to brew up. Even if Neeraj had retained Fawad's part, the film could have easily escaped the ongoing problem. But Neeraj being a far-sighted, could smell the rat in advance. Looks like after working on films like A WEDNESDAY, SPECIAL CHABBIS, RUSTOM, Neeraj has developed an intuitive skill and therefore he could take a smart move yet silently.

While Karan Johar and makers of RAEES didn't come forward to make any statement or even give their acknowledgement, it is being now reported that KJo and RAEES makers are pleading to the political party to give a go ahead to their films to release.
