A move over the crazy social media trend, Randeep Hooda's upcoming historic war epic 21-BATTLE OF SARAGARHI had its mahurat in Delhi. Reminding the old school days when movies use to have its auspicious mahurat shot.

At times when trailers, teasers and songs gets ,'premiered' on the social media networking sites and ‘mahurat' considered to be a passé, Wave Cinemas historic war epic - 21-BATTLE OF SARAGARHI to be helmed by the prolific Raj Kumar Santoshi took the old school route and had a proper ‘mahurat' on the occasion of Saragarhi Day yesterday at the Delhi Cantonment area.
Nitin Gadkari (Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping), Manohar Parrikar (Defence Minister of India) and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore (veteran Indian shooter and Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting) grace the occasion along with the movie lead actor Randeep Hooda and producer Raju Chadha, chairman of Wave Group and Rahul Mittra filmmaker and CEO Wave Cinemas.
21 soldiers of the Sikh regiment from the rank of havildar and below were honoured on the occasion. Nitin Gadkari (Minister for Road Transport and Highways and Shipping) gave the mahurat clap.
Slated to release in 2017, 21-BATTLE OF SARAGARHI is a movie about the epitome of human courage and bravery in which Sikhs were attacked by 10,000 Afghan tribesmen for seven hours and their courage to save the post of Saragarhi.
