Sidharth Malhotra is geared up to have his second release in the year after KAPOOR & SONS. The actor will be seen romancing Katrina Kaif through ages in BAAR BAAR DEKHO. Well, he spoke about their chemistry, what made him choose the film and his favourite time travel film.

Here are some excerpts from the interview:

This is the first time you are working with Katrina Kaif. How would you describe the experience?
Working with her was very fulfilling. There's a lot to learn from her code of conduct on set. After so many years of work experience, she takes every day of shoot as if it is her first time. By observing how she works, I realize how important it is to work hard. She goes on re-inventing herself.

For a romantic film to work, it is very important that the lead pair shares a crackling chemistry. How did you develop your chemistry with Katrina in this film?
It was very difficult and had a lot of chemicals involved *laughs*. Jokes apart, both of us simply spent time together. As per the movie plot, our characters know one another from childhood, so we needed to build up a comfort zone to be able to realistically portray the same on screen. Workshops were conducted to that effort. The first workshop was to sit and stare into her eyes for 15 minutes. She blinked, but I didn't. I thought that once I got to know her, we could warm up and start doing scenes. Taking this effort was important as the audience need to love the romantic pair in a film, else it'll fall flat.

'Found the story of BAAR BAAR DEKHO quite novel'

What drew you to BAAR BAAR DEKHO?
I found the story of the film quite novel. It was an exciting love story. It seemed that I could relate to the protagonist Jai. The section of youth, who want to achieve more in their career than in their personal lives, will be able to relate to Jai. The film has a very nice message at the end - that you need to have a balance in your life. It was a very fulfilling script and is one of the nicest screenplays that I've read.

Which are your favorite time travelling films?
I will not say that I'm a fan of time travelling films. I remember BACK TO THE FUTURE, which is a renowned film. I think that STAR TREK is a sci-fi film like that. What's unique about BAAR BAAR DEKHO, is that it shows time travelling but without a gadget.
