The actor is gearing up for his much awaited next MANTO and the studious actor is giving tough competition to the perfectionist Aamir Khan while preparing for the role of Sadat Hasan Manto.

It was earlier reported that the Nawazuddin has decided to dress like Manto twenty four hours till the film is in the making, further to that the actor stayed away from his mobile phone for more than a month and neither attended or replied to any calls.

Nawazuddin who has turned producer with his banner Magic IF films was just spotted at the special screening of his internationally acclaimed short film MIYAN KAL AANA. Surprisingly, Nawazuddin came in normally without carrying the MANTO look.

When we asked Nawazuddin about the reason behind staying away from phone and his sudden appearance in public without the famous kurta and chasma of MANTO, Nawaj said, “MANTO is very special to me and I have tried to concentrate at the highest possible level to get into the skin and mind of MANTO. Mobile phones are a disturbance and I stayed away, and by the way during that era mobile phones were not in practice.”

When further quipped on MANTO, Nawazuddin said that the portion cross the border has been shot and right now we are taking a short break so that's the reason you are seeing me in normal get up.

Now this is tough for Aamir.. Nawazuddin Siddiqui stayed away from his mobile phone even in this age of smart phones and slick wheels.

The actor came today to support his brother Shamas Nawab Siddiqui's thought provoking and realistic short film on Halala Law – MIYAN KAL AANA.

And like Aamir Khan, the Siddiqui brothers are seriously thinking on expanding their production dream with content driven quality feature films in near future.
