After Aamir Khan, another Bollywood actor has raised his voice and taken up an initiative to help the flood victims of Assam.

Actor John Abraham who is also Indian Super League (ISL) franchise NorthEast United FC owner on Sunday said that, to help the flood victims of Assam he is willing to hold a fund raising event.

“Our heart is for Assam flood. Our solidarity is with the flood victims. We would like to hold a fund raising event with association with the Assam government to help the flood victims. I will meet Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and Finance minister Himanta Biswa Sarma regarding this,” John Abraham said.

The current wave of devastating flood has claimed 63 lives across the state so far and over 229 animals died in Kaziranga National Park. Till Sunday, over 1.86 million people of 15 districts became homeless due to the floods.

Earlier, Aamir Khan appealed to the people of the nation to help the flood victims of Assam and Gujarat through social media during the first wave flood. In fact Aamir Khan also donated Rupees 25 lakh to the Assam Chief Minister Relief Fund.

Kudos to these two actors for helping the flood victims as well as inspiring others to come forward and help.
