The much-anticipated and awaited first official trailer of JUDWAA 2 is out now!

Bollywood is in love with remakes but usually we are disappointed as the filmmakers fail to do the right justice to the remakes and/or take it to the next level. But thankfully it will not be in the case of David Dhawan's JUDWAA 2, which is the official remake of his own film JUDWAA, a smashing hit way back in 1997. If Salman Khan was complete fun and entertainment drive in the original JUDWAA, Varun Dhawan, who is reprising the twin roles of 'Prem' and 'Raja', is no less.

Varun Dhawan perfectly steps in the shoes of Salman Khan as ‘Prem' and ‘Raja' and here we get a rehashed nevertheless refreshing version of JUDWAA. Though David has retained many scenes and styles and even the songs from the original JUDWAA, but it feels nostalgic and entertaining watching it all over again on the screen, especially Varun dancing on the numbers ‘Tan Tana Tan Tan Tara' and ‘Unchi Hai Building'. In terms of originality JUDWAA 2 doesn't offer anything new but being a remake and Varun Dhawan's class performance doesn't make you cringe over relishing the old wine in a new bottle.

In fact, Varun at every juncture reminds us of Salman Khan.

Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu are playing the roles of Karisma Kapoor and Rambha, but they are fairly okay in their parts. We do miss the leading ladies here. But Varun Dhawan's 'dhamaal' antics and 'Kamaal' acting covers it up and makes JUDWAA 2 an entertainer no.1.

While the trailer has won our hearts, we wait to see if the film also creates same magic and if it can repeat the success of original and if Varun can truly replace Salman here! Let's wait and watch.

Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film hits the screens on September 29, 2017.
