Oscar winner A R Rahman now heads for World Soundtrack Awards

Music maestro and Indian gem AR Rahman's music has global appeal and there's no doubt about that. He bagged biggest of the awards. In fact he has won all sorts of topnotch awards, which is a dream for any musician and aspirant. He has won Academy Awards, BAFTA, Grammy, Golden Globe, National Film Awards and Filmfare awards. And now he is all set to add yet another feather to his already studded cap.

A R Rahman has been shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Awards.

He has been shortlisted in the award for his composition of music for the film VICEROY'S HOUSE.

"Delighted to be shortlisted for the World Soundtrack Awards Public Choice Award for Viceroy's House," he posted.

VICEROY'S HOUSE is British-Indian historical drama film directed by Gurinder Chadha.

The film is written by Paul Mayeda Berges, Moira Buffini, and Chadha. The film stars Hugh Bonneville, Gillian Anderson, Manish Dayal, Huma Qureshi, and Michael Gambon.
