According to reports in Mid Day, a leading Hollywood studio - 20th Century Fox has approached the makers of Hrithik Roshan's KAABIL for a Hollywood remake.

Produced by Hrithik's father Rakesh Roshan and helmed by Sanjay Gupta, KAABIL is a revenge drama that co-starred Yami Gautam along with Rohit and Ronit Roy.

However, our sources tell us that the status of the remake is at initial stage and talks are on..

It's a welcome surprise for Bollywood which is always under scanner for following Hollywood for its ‘inspirations' and makers like Sanjay Gupta whose work has always had an undeniable influence of movies from the west.

Anyways, KAABIL is not the first Bollywood movie to be remade in Hollywood, Neeraj Pandey's A WEDNESDAY which inspired Kamal Haasan and Mohanlal starrer Tamil movie UNNAIPOL ORUVAN, Telugu film EENADU starring Kamal Haasan and Venkatesh, also inspired an American Sri Lankan production – A COMMON MAN that starred the legendary Sir Ben Kingsley portraying the role played by Nasseruddin Shah.

But that doesn't take away the credit from the Roshans who can certainly rejoice for finding one of top Hollywood studio interested in their slick revenge drama that featured Hrithik Roshan in arguably his best performance till date.
