BAAHUBALI 2 Producer: We didn't make any money from the first part

The first trailer of BAAHUBALI 2 released today and it has taken the internet by storm. At the event of its trailer launch when its director S. S Rajamouli was asked if they are planning to re-release the first part - BAAHUBALI so that the people who have missed out on it will get a chance to catch up with the film's storyline he immediately asked the question to his producer Anil Thadani, who replied, “A week earlier we are planning to release the film.”

“We are planning to do the same in southern parts as well so that the very few people who missed on it will a chance to get back into the narrative so we will release the first part again.” added Rajamouli. 

During the media interaction when being prodded about how much did the producers made from the first part of this epic franchise and how much did they spend and are expecting in return from the second part, producer Shobu Yarlagadda answered, “With the first part we didn't make any money that much I can tell you but with the second one we will make a lot of money which will compensate for what we didn't make in the first part and the budgets of both the part together is approximately around Rs. 450 crores.”

When Karan Johar was asked about how much money he made, he gave a very interesting reply, “I am a presenter, presenter always make money, the one who really put their hard work and blood in the project, sometimes they don't land up making money but you know the equity the film has raised is beyond the monetary word.”
