Newly wed Niel Nitin Mukesh is certainly good as bad. During WAZIR, Vidhu Vinod Chopra told us why he casted this good looking Bollywood actor as the dreaded baddy in Bejoy Nmabiar's helmed thriller, now after playing baddie in PREM RATAN DHAN PAYO, Neil will essay the role of the sensationally controversial Indian politician in Madhur Bhandarkar's upcoming political potboiler INDU SARKAR.

Allegedly based on the 1975 Emergency, the movie is said to throw light on a lot of political controversies and will bring to the fore the untold story to the generation of today in a cinematic fashion. This film is sure to spark a lot of political debates since so far there was only speculation around what the film will be loosely inspired by.

Sanjay Gandhi was a very sensational and controversial figure in Indian politics during its time and it's a role of extreme challenge for any actor and it will be interesting to see how Neil who is having a good run as a bad guy will fray while playing this character who took highly controversial and bold steps.

INDU SARKAR stars Kirti Kulhari, Tota Roy Chowdhury and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles. Also, music composers Anu Malik and Bappi Lahiri are coming together for the first time to create music for INDU SARKAR. The film will be shot in New Delhi, Mumbai, and Pune.

Director Madhur Bhandarkar has planned to wrap up the movie in 45 days. The movie will release by mid-2017 and went on floors in the first week of December 2016.
