A copyright infringement case against Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh starrer PHILLAURI has been dismissed by the Court.

Produced by Anushka Sharma's banner Clean Slate Films and Fox Star Studios, PHILLAURI is releasing this Friday – 24th March 2017. A Bhojpuri actor producer Dasrath Rathod filed a case against PHILLAURI makers for copyright infringement claiming that the movie is a copy of his 2013 trilingual MANGAL PHERA.

Dasrath Rathod demanded a stay on the release of the film but the honorable court had reportedly dismissed the complaint without finding any prima facie in the case. The court had reportedly ordered the Bhojpuri actor producer to pay a fine of Rs. 5 lakh for filing a case at the last moment without any proper evidence.

However, Dasrath Rathod's legal adviser is planning to appeal for a hearing. Anyways it's a sigh of relief for PHILLAURI makers and a lesson for those elements who file a case against the film makers at the last moment to ‘cash' in some limelight.
