Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus hasn't been in the news for the right reasons from day one and seems to be jinxed. Firstly there was news about not-so-cordial equation between lead actors Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.

SANJAY LEELA BHANSALISANJAY LEELA BHANSALI

Post that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was compelled to call off the shoot of PADMAVATI in Jaipur, Rajasthan and this came after SLB was reportedly manhandled by a political party on the sets. They not only disrupted the shoot but even assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali by slapping him and tearing his clothes. So SLB decided to stop shooting in Rajasthan and moved to Maharashtra. Just when we thought the controversy is gradually settling down, there came yet another shocking incident.

Now the PADMAVATI sets in Maharashtra's Kolhapur region have been vandalized and set on fire with the agenda to cause damage.

The official spokesperson of the filmmaker's company Bhansali Productions gave the details. He said, “The sets of PADMAVATI in Kolhapur in Maharashtra region witnessed an unfortunate incident last night at around 12.30 am. When certain miscreants attacked the film's set and set it on fire in an attempt to damage the property. A complaint has been filed to investigate this matter further, but we are grateful that there has been no loss of life or harm to anybody on the set. While, thankfully the incident occurred after we had wrapped our shoot for the day and all the artists, cast and crew were safely away; unfortunately, around 70–80% of costumes and jewellery for the movie have been destroyed.”

With that we hope that the controversies around Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film settles down ASAP, so that the filmmaker can smoothly go ahead with the shoot and complete the film without any hassles
