This week's multiple releases- DADDY and POSTER BOYS, SAMEER, MR KABADI and THE RALLY etc., behaved as per expectations and predictions!

The front runners obviously were the Deols' project, POSTER BOYS and Arjun Rampal's biopic DADDY. The first day occupancy for both the films hovered between 15-20 percent, on an average.

While the topical DADDY, scored in the Mumbai-Maharashtra belt, the Shreyas Talpade directed POSTER BOYS scored at most of the remaining places, barring south, where both the film opened poorly.

As things stand, the weekend is likely to belong to POSTER BOYS, thanks to positive reviews and audience feedback, while the case is just the opposite for DADDY (barring praises for Arjun Rampal).

The other releases of the same week opened quite poorly, and have little or no chances.

Meanwhile, last week's Milan Luthria directed Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D'Cruz and Vidyut Jammwal starrer, BAADSHAHO, failed to capitalize on a good holiday opening weekend (38 crore), and struggled during the weekdays, and ended the first week netting 57-58 crore. The film will have to show strong legs during the second week to be considered a good success.

The other release of the same week, Ayushmann-Bhumi's SHUBH MANGAL SAVDHAN, saw a rock steady run, even in the post-holiday weekdays, netting 25 crore (to be validated) during the opening week. The film is sure to show a better performance in the second week, and may even manage better numbers than BAADSHAHO, in the second outing, and is sure to end up as a good success, and maybe even with an above average or semi-hit status.
