Eros International and R. Balki present ENGLISH VINGLISH, an upcoming drama, which is all set to release on 5th October 2012. The film will be dubbed into Telugu and will release simultaneously along with the Hindi and Tamil versions.

Produced by Sunil Lulla, R. Balki, Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, R. K. Damani ENGLISH VINGLISH is written & directed by Gauri Shinde. The film marks the comeback of queen of Bollywood, Sridevi after 14 years. The movie also features French actor Mehdi Nebbou, Adil Hussain and Priya Anand. While Amitabh Bachchan makes a guest appearance in Hindi version, Ajith Kumar will be doing a cameo in Tamil version.

ENGLISH VINGLISH also marks Sridevi's comeback in Tamil cinema after 26 years.

The music is scored by Amit Trivedi and lyrics written by Swanand Kirkire.

ENGLISH VINGLISH was premiered at this year's Toronto International Film Festival and received a standing ovation all across.

Synopsis:

ENGLISH VINGLISH is the story of a woman who does not know English and is made to feel insecure by her family and society at large. The film is a light -hearted yet touching and transformational journey of Shashi. Circumstances make her determined to overcome this insecurity, master the language, teach the world a lesson on the way to becoming a self-assured and confident woman.

The film is shot mostly in New York and captures the inherent struggle of many people all over the world with the English Language. Hilarious, touching, sensitive, this film marks the comeback of India's biggest female star...Sridevi.
