Viacom18 Motion Pictures, A Friday Filmworks, present SPECIAL 26 heist drama film produced by Kumar Mangat Pahtak and Shital Bhatia.

Directed and written by Neeraj Pandey of A WEDNESDAY fame, the film stars Akshay Kumar, kajal Aggarwal in leading roles, with Manoj Bajpai, Anupam Kher and Jimmy Shergill in Supporting roles.

The music of the film is composed by M.M Kareem and Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil and Shabbir Ahmed.

The film is scheduled to release on 8 February, 2013.




Synopsis

SPECIAL 26 is based on the real-life daring heist dated 19-Mar-1987 where an unknown man posing as CBI officer Mon Singh recruited 26 men and executed a daylight raid on the Opera House branch of popular jewelry in Mumbai, and disappeared with jewellery worth lakhs. SPECIAL 26 is an intelligent con film which will require similar communication. The film is set in 1987 and has a very interesting plot. Also in the film we will see a different avatar of Akshay Kumar.
