Warner Bros. Pictures India and Wide Frame Films have jointly made Bollywood film ATITHI TUM KAB JAOGE? starring Ajay Devgn, Konkona Sen Sharma & Paresh Rawal under the direction of Ashwini Dhir. Amita Pathak, daughter of Kumar Mangat takes the reins of a Producer for the first time with this project.

This is the first time 3 National award winners likes Ajay, Konkona and Paresh have been cast together for a light hearted comedy.

The Music for the film is composed by Pritam while the lyrics have been penned by Irshad Kamil.

The non-stop laugh riot, ATITHI TUM KAB JAOGE? is slated to release on 5th March 2010.

Synopsis:

Puneet a script writer and Munmun an interior designer are a young married couple with a 6 year old son Ayush leading a normal middle class life in the city of Mumbai. Until one day Lambodhar chacha claiming to be Puneet's distant relative comes over as a guest disrupting their otherwise peaceful routine. In the beginning he seems to be pleasant change. But not long before they start perceiving him as an unwanted bacteria spreading around their home. Changes which were earlier named small adjustments start seeming like gigantic problems. And with no sign of uncle leaving stirs the happiness of Munmun and Puneet.

They start finding ways of getting rid of chacha. They try everything from faking uncle's wife's death to approaching a don but fate has something else planned and they fail each time. But then the chacha who was the source of all trouble now somehow miraculously becomes a channel of problem solving in Puneet and Munmun's life. And as life seems to be getting back on track for Munmun and Puneet one day chacha suddenly disappear. Munmun and Puneet is a reflection of all of us who cannot bear the presence of guest in our house for more than a few days and are not willing to change the way we live for them.

Even though we might believe in the ancient Indian proverb - 'Athithi Devo Bhava' - A guest is an incarnation of God but eventually we start seeing them as a virus afflicting our bedroom, living room, sofas, refrigerator, TV set, the remote, towel, soap, deodorants, toothpaste and inadvertently the toothbrush too and no matter what we are forced to say 'Athithi Tum Kab Jaoge ...'

Character Sketch:

Ajay Devgn as Puneet:

Puneet is a thirty-something writer who lives with his wife and son in a cozy little apartment in Mumbai

After years of toiling in the snaky labyrinth of the television world, he finally got his dream break he is going to write a film! He and his family are thrilled that top stars
will be mouthing his lines.

Just as he is dreaming of the riches and the glamour, the sudden and unannounced arrival of a dogmatic long lost uncle spirals his life completely out of control.

He is forced to go against hid placid and unassuming nature and devise schemes to get rid of him, further sending him into a tailspin of misery.

Now, this is one happy ending which even he is finding difficulties in scripting!

Konkona Sen Sharma as Munmun:

Munmun is the twenty-seven year old wife of Puneet.

She works as an interior designer and is a sweet and accommodating person who not only places a high premium on traditional family values, but is also ambitious
and career oriented.

Hence, the arrival of Chachaji places her under considerable duress and she copes with it with admirable gusto, validating the fabled multi-tasking ability of women.

But when Chachaji's idiosyncrasies become unbearable, she puts her foot down and asks Puneet to get rid of him.

Paresh Rawal as Chachaji:

Lambodar Bajpai (a.k.a Chachaji) is a 65 year old man from small village in North India who is visiting his distant nephew Puneet and his family in Mumbai.

An extremely eccentric, head strong and opinionated person, he is often appalled with the ways of the modern city folks. He can be unpredictable, goofy and
mercurial, but is also loving, warm and has a genuine concern for the people around him.

He has voluntarily made himself comfortable in their home and is blissfully unaware of the schemes being designed to hasten his departure!
