After the super hit DHAMAAL, Inder Kumar and his team are back with DOUBLE DHAMAAL, which is all set to hit the screens on June 24th 2011.
Presented by Reliance Entertainment and Maruti International & produced by Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar and directed by Inder Kumar, DOUBLE DHAMAAL stars Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Aashish Chowdhary, Jaaved Jaffrey, Riteish Deshmukh, Kangna Ranaut and Mallika Sherawat in lead roles.
The music of the movie is given by ANAND RAJ ANAND and lyrics penned by ANAND RAJ ANAND and Mayur Puri.
Synopsis:
The four good-for-nothing jokers from DHAMAAL - Roy (Riteish Deshmukh), Adi (Arshad Warsi), Manav (Jaaved Jaaferi) and Boman (Aashish Chaudhry) are back again! They are still as stupid and useless as before. Hard work is a strict no and the only work they have ever done in their lives is to lie down on their backside and dream about a good life where they have everything without doing anything!
And then suddenly they see their old arch enemy - the corrupt Insp. Kabir Nayak (Sanjay Dutt). But he's no longer a cop and instead of chasing crooks, he's chasing money - driving a Merc and has a posh office and a lavish villa. The four mad caps are green with envy and decide that come what may, by hook or by crook they will share Kabir's good fortune. And so they blackmail Kabir into making them his business partners. They are in seventh heaven, yippee, all their dreams are coming true. What they don't know is that soon their dreams are going to turn into nightmares because Kabir has his own hidden agenda, only shared by his sultry wife Kamini (Mallika Sherawat) and lovely sister Kiya (Kangna Ranaut). And so starts a game of one-up-man ship, with both sides having tricks up their sleeves and where sundry characters like Batabhai (Satish Kaushik) and King of Casino Johnny Bonzola, turn up to make their foursome's life miserable. And of course, there's a helluva lot of money at stake.
There are also lots of twists and turns and a bellyful of laughs. But who will have the last laugh? Canny Kabir or our four loveable jokers?
Character Sketch:
Sanjay Dutt as Inspector Kabir Nayak - Inspector Kabir Nayak who's given up chasing criminals so that he can chase the big bucks! On the way he's collected a Merc, a sexy villa and sexier wife! And now he's playing for the highest stakes of his life.
Riteish Deshmukh as Roy - Roy who fancies himself as the greatest actor in the world. But alas, whether he's a slit eyed Chinese crook Lee of Blacker than tar Tukya Kale, he ends up with a kick on his backside.
Arshad Warsi as Adi - The master brain amongst the birdbrains, his ideas for making easy money sound foolproof and easy. But once they are executed, it's he who ends up making a complete fool of himself.
Jaaved Jaaferi as Manav - Adi's adoring younger brother. Blessed with a trusting disposition, sunny smile and zero IQ, he specializes in saying the wrong thing at the wrong time and getting everybody into trouble.
Ashish Chowdhry as Boman - In his quest for easy money he will go to any lengths and do anything including dressing in drag to seduce Kabir and getting smooched by a horny gorilla!
Kangna Ranaut as Kiya - Kabir's sweet and pretty little sister not only knows what her crooked bhaiyya is up to, she's part and parcel of all his nefarious deals.
Mallika Sherawat as Kamini - Her curves may shout danger, but this bar dancer-turned-wife has a razor sharp mind that can anticipate trouble long before it shows up.
